Charges all brands of modern Lithium (LiFePO4) motorcycle and car batteries that have a built in BMS (Battery Managment System).
Ultrabatt batteries have a very low self-discharge rate (about 3% every month) and will hold their charge for many months. However if you need to charge your Ultrabatt battery for some reason this is the perfect charger.
These battery chargers determine battery charge status from voltage not current
Overcharging your lithium battery will greatly shorten it's lifespan.
The internal resistance of lead acid batteries increases and charging current consequently reduces when they are close to full charge. This convenient trait causes charging current to naturally trail off as the battery nears full charge. This trait is convenient for home workshop lead acid battery chargers as they do not need unneccesary extra cirucitry to do volatage sense controlled charging.
This strategy does not work with lithium batteries as the internal resistance does the opposite and decreases as the battery charges. Hence without true voltage sense controlled charging, voltage can rapidly climb to well over 15V when the battery nears full charge.
The FBG1200 Charger uses ture voltage sense controlled charging not current sensing to determine when to stop charging.
Conveniently charging regulators on your bikes also use voltage sensing to determine when your battery (either lead or lithium is fully charged).

We recommend that you use your bikes normal onboard charging system or the FBG1200 or UB3000 Ultracharger to charge Ultrabatt batteries.
To store off-season, measure your battery's voltage and make sure it is fully charged, 13.2 volts or greater: recharge if necessary. Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent any applied electrical load during storage. Or store the battery separately from the motorcycle.
We recommend that you store the battery between at a temperature 5 and 20 degrees Celsius. Storage temperature range is -50 to +60 degrees Celsius.
