Warning! Cheap, unsafe levers being sold in New Zealand
We have seen levers that have broken across the main pivot bolt and levers that do not allow the piston to release fully past the compensating valve. One of these instances caused a high speed accident at Hampton Downs. The rider left the track in an ambulance. After market brake lines must be certified for use in N.Z, We think after market levers should be certified as well. Titax levers are certified by TUV laboratories in Germany. Titax levers are made from the finest virgin T6 forged alloys. A Lever made from alloy re-forged from previously machined alloy will have their strength compromised by cutting oils and will typically be contaminated by lessor factory floor alloys. Careful consideration of tensile strength and loading capacity of all components, pivots bolts and bearings is crucial for your safety. There is a reason why the top European race teams and bike manufactures purchase and fit Titax levers to their bikes. Titax levers will not structurally fail when you need them most!
