Programmable CDI Race ignition system for single cylinder bikes.

The DCCDIP1 Race is good solution for customers who want advanced functions overthose offered in the standard CDI ignition systems

This Ignition unit is fully programmable with the included Windows configuration software.

This unit will operate with almost all pickup sensing systems. If you are not sure if it will work with your bike please email us.

What are the main differences between the standard version and this race version?

Here are the main extra features of the race version:

  1. Start limiter/pit limiter
  2. Four instead of two extra multifunction switched inputs. Any of the multifunction switched inputs can be used for a kill switch, quickshifter, ignition retard, start limiter, second advance curve. 
  3. Support for throttle position sensor for allowing changing advance dependent on RPM but allowing the advance to be changed dependent on RPM AND throttle position(this is one of the main features racers want - provides substantial extra performance.
  4. Servo control for items like exhaust power valves, variable length velocity stacks, etc.
  5. Gear indicator output. Gear sensing can be done by sensor or from calculating RPM/Speed.
  6. Both units support quick shifters but the race version has more flexible quick shifter options.

Unit is possible powered from low voltage AC stator (some bikes without battery) or from DC 12V (bikes with battery). 

The ignition unit is in plastic box 85x67x26 mm with 34-pin sealed connector JAE MX23A. Counterpart connector is included. 

Note it is very difficult to connect individual wires to this connector without the special tool, therefore we offer a universal harness to plug into to this unit with all wires connected to it so you can just remove or ignore the wires you don't need. This has a wire tail length of 1.3 m.  We can also provide custom tails to suit the connectors on some bikes on request.
